Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Service Owner
to lead the delivery, optimization, and governance of critical business and technology services. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage service operations, vendor relationships, contracts, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders and delivery teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in service management, contract administration, procurement processes, vendor oversight, and Agile delivery practices.
Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Operations
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of service delivery and operational support.
Define service objectives, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks and issues.
Ensure services align with business goals, security requirements, compliance standards, and user needs.
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage the full lifecycle of contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs), including amendments, renewals, extensions, and expirations.
Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring accountability for deliverables, timelines, and service levels.
Monitor vendor performance and drive corrective actions when necessary.
Review and validate vendor invoices against contract terms.
Coordinate payment processing through SAP or comparable ERP systems.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved vendor value.
Procurement & RFP Leadership
Lead end-to-end procurement and RFP processes.
Gather business requirements and coordinate stakeholder participation.
Evaluate vendor proposals and support contract award activities.
Facilitate vendor onboarding and transition planning.
Compliance & Governance
Support compliance reporting, audit activities, and remediation efforts.
Collaborate with business units and vendors to address compliance gaps.
Maintain adherence to organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain service-related documentation and governance artifacts.
Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Partner with Agile teams to prioritize work and deliver business value.
Utilize service performance metrics and user feedback to improve operations.
Participate in planning, risk management, and delivery activities.
Promote Agile, DevOps, and modern service management best practices.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
7+ years of experience managing the full lifecycle of contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs).
7+ years of experience managing vendor relationships, deliverables, and performance tracking.
4+ years of experience reviewing vendor invoices and processing payments using SAP or similar ERP platforms.
7+ years of experience using service performance metrics or user feedback to drive operational improvements and decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading end-to-end RFP and procurement processes.
Experience owning service delivery in Agile environments.
Experience supporting compliance, audit coordination, and remediation activities.
Experience working with business stakeholders and vendors to address compliance requirements.
Experience within large, complex enterprise or public-sector environments.
