Requirements:
Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies
Your daily workload will challenge you across three distinct areas of fuel system maintenance, mechanics, and environmental safety:
1. Fleet & Legacy Dispenser Diagnostics
You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting diverse fueling systems, including modern retail setups and older, highly reliable fleet, or classic dispensers:
Mechanical & Hydraulic Service:
Troubleshooting positive displacement meters, rotary power pumps, suction strainers, and bypass valves when a pump isn't delivering fuel.

Calibrating mechanical registers and servicing the interfaces where mechanical computers connect with electric switches, pulsers, and solenoids.
Systemic Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing common field issues such as air binds, broken drive shafts, or packing gland leaks.

You will execute critical compliance roadmaps and testing procedures for UST facilities to align directly with strict EPA federal mandates:

Alarm Evaluation:
Utilizing clear diagnostic criteria to determine if a triggered containment sensor is a false positive or an active equipment breach.
3. Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) System Support & Safety
You will manage aboveground tank layouts, piping modifications, and unique AST hydraulic systems:
Hydraulics & Piping:
Diagnosing systemic plumbing issues (such as a pump repeatedly losing its prime) and inspecting normal/emergency venting, anti-siphon protection, and emergency shear valves.
Hazardous Zone Awareness:
Adhering strictly to Class I, Division 1 and 2 electrical boundaries to ensure safe grounding, proper sealing, and static ignition prevention during all service work.
