What You’ll Be Doing As a member of CIBC’s End Point Compute, Mobility and Print Services team, you’ll play a critical role in the design and evolution of our endpoints and supporting infrastructure to introduce and align to new technologies and drive the organization to a modern workspace. As a Service Designer, you will provide technical leadership and guidance to an array of groups, project teams and management, and ensure that our Services align with CIBC and Industry standards and best practices. Our Services include Assistive Technologies, End Point Compute, Mobility and Print. The Service Designer for the mobility platform, which includes Mac@CIBC and Mobility@CIBC services, is responsible for leading the functional design and roadmap strategy for systems across the Mobility technology platform. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements into process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. The Service Designer, Technical Consultant provides technical leadership to an array of groups, including IT senior management and senior technical teams. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined. How You’ll Succeed Strategic Development & Execution: Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities; understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap; design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces and integrations; lead the design of cost‑effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency; recommend and understand the optimal financial and contractual obligations for the mobile services. Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, financial, contract and business objectives; lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements. Stakeholder Management: Act as the solution lead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions; support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving. Who You Are You have at least 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: Cloud (Azure, AWS), MDM Tools (Intune and Workspace One), Issue Management with various Mobile and industry vendors. You have experience and knowledge in design principles and have an understanding of industry standards such as ITIL and COBIT. You embrace and champion change; you are passionate about being on top of technology trends; you continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work to deliver your best. You influence change; you know relationships and networks are essential; you inspire outcomes by making yourself heard. You are digitally savvy; you seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You have a degree/diploma: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline. You love to learn, and have a strong sense of curiosity.
