Role Title: Sr Software Developer Reliability Status Security Clearance required: Yes Work Style: Hybrid (3 days in office) Location city(s): Winnipeg, Toronto or London Anticipated Start Date: 4 weeks from the official offer day End Date: 16 months duration Hours per week: 37.5 Contractor to work extra time or on-call: Yes, on-call rotation Monday to Sunday. Pay rate : Up to $90 per hour depending on relevant experience. The final compensation will be negotiated between the contractor and recruiter based on experience and engagement terms. Any specific tools/skillset: • 8+ years of experience delivering software, integration, or platform engineering solutions following a SDLC • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript in a component-based front-end framework (e.g. LWC, React, Vue, or equivalent) • Experience building reusable, maintainable UI components with a strong understanding of component lifecycle and state management • Familiarity with design systems and CSS frameworks • Understanding of APIs and how to use them in practice, including REST and integration patterns • Demonstrated experience using engineering practices to meet functional and non-functional requirements and comply with security standards • Strong experience with continuous integration tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, JIRA, and Confluence • Knowledge and experience with unit and integration testing • Demonstrated technical depth and experience with complex solution design and engineering • Ability to lead design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software and systems • Demonstrated experience with delivery projects that drive automation, self-serve, and high reuse across the enterprise • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships • Able to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities • Experience coaching and mentoring technical practitioners • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, complex concepts to a non-technical audience • Excellent communication and ability to work in an Agile environment • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience? • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence an asset • Experience working in the financial services industry an asset Who you are • Highly motivated and curious problem solver with a bias to action in relentless pursuit of automation and continuous improvement • Keeps up to date with platform best practices, processes, and development patterns • Supports proactive identification of risk and issues • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills and feel comfortable influencing others Role profile description: As a Full Stack Developer, you are responsible for transforming design and product vision into seamless and engaging user experiences.
