JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Senior Shipper & Receiver to join our growing team.
Position Responsibilities
Unpack and receive parts, products, and accessories orders as they arrive daily from suppliers, which include vinyl buggies
Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or other documents ensuring accuracy - recording shortages and nonconforming materials identified through quality inspection
Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed
Be responsible for the physical movement of product within the facility including the creation and maintenance of project-based staging areas and movement of the vinyl buggies to the manufacturing lines and updating the lot locator
Perform and document cycle counts
Respond to receipt and inventory transfer requests from internal customers
Computerized data input of daily receipts into Titan Inventory Management System
Doclink packing slips, purchase order confirmations and related communications specific to each purchase order
Operate forklift in a safe manner; this includes utilizing proper safety precautions to ensure equipment and loads are safely secured for transportation
Perform Daily PIT inspections and document as per inspection checklist
Empty garbage throughout the plant
Any other Duties as assigned by the Materials Manager or Designate
Qualification
Ability to communicate effectively in English – verbally and in writing
Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions
Ability to apply general math skills
Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job
Previous or current forklift experience is required, along with proof of previous or existing license
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls
Physical ability to stand for a significant period and walk continuously
Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb and reach
