Job DescriptionJob Description The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting; general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, restocking and staying current with trends in the industry: Responsibilities: Ability to work effectively and productively with others as a team Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills Maintain a positive working relationship with our team Maintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of existing and new product line Meet established goals as set by management Assisting with minor resets and cross merchandising as necessary Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries Job Requirements Minimum 2 years in the building supplies industry Strong attention to detail Working knowledge in the use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel Ability to work store hours as well as weekends is a must Company Description Home Hardware Building Centres offer a complete range of both hardware and building centre products.
