Western Region Sales Director – Satcom Hardware
This position is located in the Western United States, preferably California, and reports to the Senior Vice President Business Development.
Identify, pursue, capture, and win new satellite equipment business to meet or exceed revenue budget.
Aggressively close Satcom business related to the existing customer base and pursue new clients to expand the customer base.
Meet personal and team revenue goals and forecast sales.
Provide effective account management and develop/maintain relationships with key customer personnel.
Develop innovative sales strategies and models to secure business.
Establish new sales distribution channels when needed and introduce new products and technologies to the customer base.
Provide feedback to management on customers’ needs, concerns, products and competitors.
Make decisions regarding sales strategies, commercial offers, and price negotiations; provide customers with quotations and product information.
Arrange and conduct presentations/demonstrations or site visits to influence client prospects.
Communicate with engineering, finance, and operations to define customer requirements, develop profitable pricing models, and ensure delivery of customer product and services.
Must live in the Western U.S., preferably California.
Remote position; requires self‑motivation and the ability to prioritize and multitask projects.
Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of proven sales and/or business development experience in Satcom and/or terrestrial or wireless telecom equipment sales.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to present company products and services to customers and partners.
Knowledge of competing Satcom capabilities and markets; account management experience is required.
Experience utilizing CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Computer competency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Track record of consistently over‑achieving sales and revenue goals.
Manager of Engineering – Satcom Systems
Manage diverse multidisciplinary engineering teams from microwave/RF to electrical and mechanical to software design and implementation.
Oversee the entire engineering budget.
Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements.
Lead development of system‑level architectures and decomposition into hardware and software lower‑level requirements.
Implement new or enhanced RF equipment and systems for satellite earth stations, gateways, IFE systems, and satellite‑on‑the‑move systems.
Introduce new products and technologies to both new and existing customers.
Provide feedback to management on customer needs, concerns, products, and competitors.
Communicate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to meet cost goals.
Must reside in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada region.
Bachelor’s degree in RF engineering or a related technical discipline; a master’s degree is preferable.
At least ten years of experience in Satcom and/or terrestrial or wireless telecom equipment development.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams on satellite communications programs.
Knowledge of aviation standards and certifications including ARINC, DO160, DO254, and FAA certifications.
Customer‑focused orientation with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present solutions to customers, partners, and vendors.
Strong communication skills with all employee levels and external customers.
Computer competency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Senior Oscillator Engineer – Microwave & Millimeter Wave
Design and develop VCOs, DROs, CROs, and YIG oscillators.
Apply PLL and synthesizer techniques.
Use RF simulation tools and commercial software; MMIC design experience is a plus.
Understand cleanroom processes and HMIC design techniques.
Minnimum five years in MW/MMW environment and a strong educational background.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Leadership and problem‑solving skills.
Must obtain Canadian Security Clearance and PEO membership.
Hybrid Microwave Integrated Circuit (HMIC) RF/Technician/Technologist
Tune RF and microwave modules using wire bonding and ribbon bonding methods.
Prepare test data, troubleshoot circuitry, and evaluate prototypes.
Assist in design and documentation preparation.
Community College graduate in Electronics Technology/Technician program or equivalent.
Familiarity with clean room and ESD practices.
Detail oriented, solution focused, and self‑motivated.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with troubleshooting and problem‑solving analog/digital circuits is an asset.
Mechanical aptitude beneficial.
General knowledge of microwave and RF test methods required.
Must obtain Controlled Goods Clearance.
DRO Technician
Tune and test microwave modules and microelectronics assemblies.
Perform tests and evaluations of electrical systems or prototypes.
Prepare test data and troubleshoot circuitry.
Assist in design and documentation preparation.
Tuning experience is a huge asset.
Community College graduate in Electronics Technology/Technician program or equivalent.
Familiarity with clean room and ESD practices.
Enthusiastic, detail oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in ISO9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus.
Senior HW Design Engineer – Satcom
Analog/digital circuit design, simulation, and validation.
Schematic capture and PCB layout for microwave, analog, and digital designs.
Use EDA tools such as ADS and Altium Designer.
Perform bench testing and use test equipment including logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal/noise generators.
Apply ARINC, RTCA/DO‑160, CE marking, and EMI/EMC testing.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5 to 10 years of microwave, analog, and digital development experience.
Effective written and verbal communication in English.
Canadian security clearance would be an asset.
Senior RF Design Engineer – Satcom
RF/IF circuit design, simulation, and validation (1–75GHz).
Microwave and millimeter wave device knowledge.
MMIC/HMIC design and rapid prototyping techniques.
Waveguide filters, mixers, attenuators, and couplers.
Use EM simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, and Microwave Studio.
Apply ARINC, RTCA/DO‑160, CE marking, and EMI/EMC testing.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5 to 10 years of RF/IF development experience with high‑performance satellite or wireless products.
Effective written and verbal communication in English.
Canadian security clearance would be an asset.
Junior RF Design Engineer
Perform RF designs, cascaded analysis, circuit design, EM simulation, and verification.
Support current designs and future opportunities.
Bench test and operate spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and related equipment.
Diagnose and resolve faults from system level down to component level.
Recommend design changes for performance or obsolescence improvements.
Assist with production and testing solution coordination.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Good knowledge of RF/microwave theory in system and component levels.
0 to 2 years of related experience.
Proficiency with EDA tools such as ADS, Momentum, HFSS, Genesys.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
