Position Description:
We are seeking a Senior Paralegal with strong expertise in corporate banking operations, banking legal documentation, and coordination with international financial institutions. The selected candidate will support a high volume of global banking activities, including account openings and closures, signatory management, compliance requests (KYC/AML/FATCA), legal documentation coordination, and implementation of specialized banking services.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Bank Account Openings and Closures
. Manage bank account openings across multiple countries.
. Request GL bank account numbers for new bank accounts.
. Coordinate large scale bank account closures.
Signatory and Banking Authorization Management
. Prepare and coordinate signatory changes.
. Coordinate execution of legal documents.
. Maintain up to date the bank accounts and signatories database.
. Handle banking authorization requests (DOL).
Banking Compliance
. Process KYC, AML, and FATCA requests.
. Support external auditors with annual bank confirmations.
. Ensure compliance for documentation related to banking services.
Legal Documentation & Banking Services
. Prepare, review, and coordinate legal documents related to banking services.
. Handle banking authorization requests (DOL).
. Manage updates to banking contacts and authorized access lists.
. Support implementation of specialized banking services.
. Liaise with banks for mergers, acquisitions, and account reactivations.
Administrative & Coordination Tasks
. Maintain and update the master bank account database.
. Coordinate internal and external signatures.
. Collaborate with global legal, finance, and operational teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal.
. Proven experience in banking law or corporate bank account management would be an asset.
. Strong ability to manage a high volume of complex files.
. Excellent rigor, autonomy, and organizational skills.
. Fluency in English and French.
. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel et PowerPoint).
. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000–$100,000 This role is an existing vacancy.
