Serve as the mechanical discipline lead on major projects Act as a technical reference for the engineering of mining concentrators and industrial facilities Act as the procurement package lead for mechanical equipment Participate in pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering studies Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical details Prepare or oversee the preparation of technical specifications for the procurement and installation of equipment Oversee design calculations, particularly for pumps, water/air networks, and piping stresses Supervise the design of tanks, hoppers, chutes, and pump boxes Validate P&IDs and perform technical bid evaluations Supervise shop drawing reviews and the work of technicians and engineers Review and approve design calculations and cost estimates Ensure interdisciplinary coordination Report to the Industrial Mechanical Team Leader Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience Experience in the mining (concentrator), heavy industrial, or bulk solids handling sectors is a major asset Experience as a discipline lead engineer is an asset Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors Knowledge of Pipe-Flo, Sidewinder, and Caesar II software is an asset English proficiency is required, as clients and suppliers are primarily English-speaking and located outside Quebec Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in mechanical engineering with a focus on mining concentrators and industrial facilities, including design, procurement, and interdisciplinary coordination.
