Requirements Responsibilities Conduct forensic mechanical engineering investigations related to equipment failures and incidents in the energy sector, including oil, gas, and power generation. Perform detailed engineering analyses, including failure analysis, material assessments, and design evaluations. Prepare clear, thorough technical reports summarizing analyses, findings, and recommendations. Collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and other Rimkus experts to deliver high-quality consulting services. Provide expert opinions and testify in depositions and trials as needed. Mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional development. Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited program; advanced degree is a plus. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe. Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in the energy industry. Strong expertise in failure analysis, forensic engineering methodologies, and mechanical design principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Effective communication skills, including technical writing and presentations. Proven ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage multiple projects. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (typically up to 25%).
