Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Mechanical Designer Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC and plumbing systems on building projects, including new developments and renovations. Responsibilities Develop and lead mechanical system designs for projects of varying size and complexity. Coordinate work with project teams and provide guidance to junior and intermediate designers. Review client requirements and develop practical, cost-effective design solutions. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design process. Assist with equipment selection and preparation of design drawings, reports, and specifications. Support project delivery by monitoring schedules and coordinating technical documentation. Qualifications 5+ years designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, multi-residential, or institutional buildings. Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (PMP considered an asset). Solid understanding of building systems coordination and construction documentation. Knowledge of relevant building and plumbing codes. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Strong communication and documentation skills.
