Morison Insurance is one of Southern Ontario’s leading independently owned brokerages, with seven locations serving communities across the region. We’re proud to be a family-owned business that has grown significantly over the years while staying true to our roots: doing right by our clients, our communities, and our people. Our comprehensive insurance solutions include business, commercial auto, personal home and auto, recreational coverage, and specialized products. About This Role
As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will lead the marketing strategy and brand direction for Morison Insurance. This role is primarily strategic — you will set direction, define priorities, and review output, working closely with our Digital Marketing Specialist who handles day-to-day execution across social, digital, and content channels. A core part of this role is deeply understanding our audiences and translating what makes Morison different — our independence, our people, our community roots — into communications that resonate and convert. Equally important is staying connected to the business, interpreting what the data is telling us, and turning those insights into clear, actionable recommendations. As AI continues to reshape the marketing landscape, this role also plays a key part in how we evolve — leveraging AI tools to sharpen strategy and keep Morison ahead of the curve.
What You'll Do

Monitor marketing performance data across all channels and translate findings into clear recommendations for leadership
Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and shifts in consumer behaviour, bringing forward relevant insights that inform marketing strategy
Stay connected to the business — understanding our products, markets, and growth priorities — to identify emerging opportunities and make recommendations
Bring a solutions-oriented mindset to performance gaps, proposing and testing adjustments with clear rationale and measurable outcomes
Communications & Audience Strategy
Develop a deep understanding of Morison’s core audiences including their motivations, pain points, and decision-making process
Translate what makes Morison different into clear, compelling messaging that resonates across all channels
Ensure all communications reflect a consistent brand voice that sets Morison apart from competitors
Continuously sharpen messaging by identifying gaps between how we talk about ourselves and how different audiences actually experience us
Digital Marketing & SEO
Own SEO strategy including setting direction on keyword targeting, on-page optimization priorities, and performance benchmarks
Oversee website strategy, user experience improvements, and ensure alignment with lead generation goals
Provide strategic direction on digital advertising channels and evaluate ROI in partnership with the Digital Marketing Specialist
Review analytics platforms and translate findings into strategic adjustments

Develop and lead integrated marketing strategies for Morison Insurance
Own brand standards across all channels, ensuring consistency in voice, design, and messaging
Define content direction, campaign priorities, and channel strategy in alignment with business goals

Provide creative direction for branded materials using design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice across all touchpoints
Define messaging frameworks and content guidelines that the Digital Marketing Specialist can execute against consistently
Marketing Innovation
Champion the integration of new industry tools into marketing workflows to improve efficiency, content quality, and strategic output
Stay informed on how AI is reshaping the marketing landscape, identify relevant applications for Morison, and help establish internal guidelines for responsible use
Team Leadership & Sales Alignment

Manage relationships with external vendors including agencies, designers, and media partners
Evaluate vendor performance and hold partners accountable to deliverables and timelines
Partner with sales leadership and digital sales to align marketing activity with lead generation targets and track campaign-to-conversion performance
