The successful candidate will report to the Partners and will be a career-focused individual that is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm. This individual will be an integral part of our continued growth. The Role Manage and review US personal tax engagements independently and effectively (including Form 8621, Form 3520, Form 8833, Form 2555, and additional US Tax Return forms as appliable) Deliver complete product to the Senior Manager or Partner on a timely basis. Respond to client questions and queries. Delegate tasks to all levels of staff. Providing guidance and training for staff members to enhance their career development within the firm. Responsible for managing client relationships, winning new work and managing quality of work completed. Responsible for managing client portfolios. Mentor and coach senior and staff accountants. Undertaking tax research with guidance from senior specialists. Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis. Prepare internal and external client correspondence. What You Will Bring CPA designation – Canada or US – with 5+ years of relevant experience post designation Experience with Canadian personal tax returns and additional Forms such as T2062, NR4, section 216 returns an asset Excellent project management, time management, and leadership skills An innovative thinker, comfortable in a team and client-focused environment Self-starter, able to work independently Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail Problem solver with solid analytical skills Experience in CaseWare/Caseview, TaxPrep, and CCH Axcess is an asset Experience in a paperless environment is considered an asset Able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines What We Offer Competitive salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 Paid vacation Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Extended health and dental benefits RRSP Matching Program Health and Wellness Allowance Help in developing your personal brand and practice Continuous hands-on mentoring A flexible & positive work environment Annual Conferences Paid volunteer programs and volunteer opportunities *We thank all applicants who apply; however only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
