The Role As the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and Retention at CFMWS, you will shape the strategies that attract, engage, and retain the exceptional people who support the well‑being of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) community. In this leadership role, you’ll design and deliver a multi‑year talent strategy, guide a high‑performing team, and champion innovative recruitment marketing that amplifies our employer brand across the country. You will influence organizational priorities, partner with senior leaders, and use data‑driven insights to strengthen workforce planning, onboarding, internal mobility, and long‑term retention. Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field and several years of experience in a related field. Experience Planning, coordinating, managing and controlling recruitment programs and activities. Developing and implementing HR strategies and theories. Managing recruitment programs and initiatives. Delivering talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational priorities and labour‑market realities. Planning and conducting training and presentations. Providing advice and guidance. Personnel administration. Budget administration. Competencies – Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. Language Requirements – Bilingual (English and French) preferred; unilingual candidates are considered if bilingual candidates are not available.
