Senior Manager (Mining) at Astana International Financial Centre Authority — NeverHard

We are seeking a Senior Mining Specialist to support the development and operation of the Junior Mining Platform. This role is focused on building and maintaining a pipeline of mining projects, supporting their assessment, and facilitating engagement with investors and stakeholders in Kazakhstan’s mining sector. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with a strong focus on execution, coordination, and analysis. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and day-to-day operations of the Junior Mining Platform Build and maintain a pipeline of mining projects, including updating the project repository Identify and engage potential project companies (junior miners, license holders) for onboarding Conduct initial screening of projects against defined platform criteria Collect, verify, and maintain up-to-date project information Support communication between project sponsors and investors Assist in organizing investment events and platform activities Collaborate with internal teams, government stakeholders, and partners Prepare analytical reports, presentations, and supporting investment materials Contribute to improving platform processes, tools, and workflows Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field 3–5+ years of experience in the mining or natural resources sector Strong understanding of the mining project lifecycle (exploration to development) and key documentation Proven project management and strategic thinking skills Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Fluency in English, Russian, and Kazakh Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment with high integrity and self-motivation
