Experiencing strong growth, our Grants and Government Assistance practice in Ontario and Atlantic Canada partners with entrepreneurs and high-growth organizations to identify, secure, and maximize government funding opportunities. Our team helps clients navigate programs across all levels of government including tax credits, grants, subsidies, expense reimbursements, and preferential financing, so they can invest confidently in innovation, expansion, and long-term success.
What you will do
Develop and execute strategies to maximize government assistance for client projects across multiple programs and jurisdictions
Lead and manage end-to-end government funding applications, including coordination with relevant government agencies
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients through regular communication and by staying current on evolving government assistance programs and legislation
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through high-quality delivery and proactive support
Contribute to the growth and development of the Government Assistance practice, including process improvements and market initiatives
Collaborate closely with cross-functional KPMG teams, including Tax, Audit, and Corporate Finance, to deliver integrated client solutions
Coach, review, and oversee the work of junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development
What you bring to the role
Minimum 7 years of experience in a professional services firm or financial institution, with demonstrated leadership and client-facing experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent an asset
Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Proven ability to build trusted client relationships, understand client business needs, and deliver high-quality, value-driven service
Solid business and financial acumen, with strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex or evolving program requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams
Curiosity, sound professional judgment, and attention to detail; experience in the public or parapublic sector (ministries, agencies, Crown corporations, municipalities, economic development organizations) is an asset
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $103,500 to $153,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
