Sleep Country has built an omnichannel platform behind some of Canada's most recognized sleep brands - Sleep Country, Endy, Silk & Snow, Casper Canada, and Hush. Each was built digital-first, customer-obsessed, and unafraid to challenge a sleepy category.
We've brought them together to compete at a scale, across every channel, every price point, and every Canadian household. We come from a culture of scrappy energy and comfort with ambiguity that built each of these brands, but we're now layering on the systems, discipline, and operating rigor of a serious enterprise. That combination is what makes this an interesting place to work. We're past the stage of figuring it out for the first time and we're building something meant to last.
The people who do well here are operators, who want a short line between their work and the business results. They want to be measured on outcomes, not optics. And they want to be in a place where merit is what gets rewarded.
Silk & Snow is seeking a Sr. Manager, Demand Planning to own the demand and inventory strategy across retail, wholesale, and DTC channels in Canada and the US. Reporting to the COO, you will lead a team of two Demand Planners and partner closely with the Director, Supply Chain, to translate demand into a coordinated, cost-efficient supply plan.
In this role you will:
Demand Forecasting & Inventory Strategy
Own the 12-to-18-month rolling demand forecast across all channels (retail, wholesale, DTC) and both countries (Canada and US), at the SKU and category level required for planning
Partner with Sales, Marketing and Product/Merchandising teams on the consensus forecast, promotional planning, demand signals, and lifecycle decisions
Build and maintain the baseline forecasts and the customer-specific forecasts for retail and wholesale partners
Own the inventory forecast, working capital plan, and budget reconciliation in partnership with the Finance Team
Set inventory targets, safety stock policy, reorder points, and lead‑time assumptions across channels and DCs to balance service level with working capital efficiency
Champion the planning for New Product Introductions (NPI) and End‑of‑Life (EOL) transitions to maximize sell‑through and prevent dead stock
Identify operational implications of marketing campaigns and site changes in partnership with the Marketing Team
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Own the end-to-end S&OP process, including the monthly executive S&OP meeting, the pre‑S&OP demand reviews, and the consensus forecast that aligns Sales, Brand, Merchandising, and Finance with operational supply
Manage service levels, inventory health, landed cost across channels, the operating cadence and the operational metrics that span demand and supply in partnership with the Director, Supply Chain
Translate validated demand into firm Purchase Orders with target Cargo Ready Dates (CRDs); hand off to the Manager, Supply & Inbound Operations for execution
Performance & Cost Management
Build the disciplines of a maturing enterprise including planning cadence, templates, SOPs, and reporting infrastructure that allow the function to scale with volume rather than headcount
Own the demand planning KPI scorecard: forecast accuracy and bias by channel, in‑stock rate, inventory turns, weeks of supply, aged and excess inventory %, working capital impact, purchase order accuracy
Manage total inventory investment to plan; partner with Finance on working capital, inventory provisions, and the inventory line of the operating budget
Continuously improve forecasting methodology, tools, and the data inputs that feed them
Drive the inventory forecast, working capital plan, and budget reconciliation in partnership with the Finance Team
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop Demand Planners to support Retail, Digital, and wholesale channels; build a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and accountability
Set clear goals, priorities, expectations, and performance standards for direct reports
Foster a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork actively removing roadblocks and proactively developing the team to be highly cross‑functional
Report on forecast accuracy, inventory health, inventory working capital impact, and supply commitments to the COO and broader leadership team.
The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:
University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related discipline
7-10 years in demand planning, supply chain planning, or commercial finance roles, with at least 2 years leading direct reports
Demonstrated experience planning across multiple channels (retail, wholesale, DTC) and ideally both Canada and the US
Track record of building or scaling a demand planning function in a high‑growth environment
Strong fluency in spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets)
Strong statistical and quantitative fluency with a comfort level in understanding signal vs noise
Strong financial fluency, comfortable owning the inventory line of the budget and partnering with Finance on working capital and margin
Experience with demand planning platforms that are rightsized for eCommerce‑first technology stacks such as Shopify and Fulfil
