JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Organize and manage the onboarding process for new financial institution counterparties, including the collection, verification, and maintenance of corporate, legal, and KYC documentation; preparation of internal questionnaires; coordination with Compliance and other internal stakeholders; support of legal documentation review and execution processes; and ongoing communication with counterparties regarding document submission, information requests, and compliance with the Bank’s requirements. 2. Coordinate the opening of nostro and vostro correspondent accounts with local and international financial institutions, including managing relationships with correspondent banks, negotiating cooperation terms, services, and operational arrangements; preparing, collecting, and reviewing the complete documentation package required for account opening; and maintaining up-to-date records of correspondent banking relationships. 3. Coordinate the establishment, review, and maintenance of credit and treasury limits for banks and other financial institutions, including the collection and update of financial, regulatory, and other relevant information on counterparties; conducting financial analysis of bank counterparties, including assessment of capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, profitability, funding profile, and key risk indicators; and preparing credit proposals, credit memos, and other materials for consideration by the Bank’s authorized committees and decision-making bodies. 4. Coordinate the establishment, review, and maintenance of limits granted to the Bank by counterparties, financial institutions, and other market participants, including ensuring the timely receipt, approval, renewal, and documentation of limits provided to the Bank for interbank market transactions 5. Coordinate the Bank’s credit rating affirmation and review processes with international rating agencies, including managing interactions with rating agencies, preparing supporting materials, organizing meetings, and responding to information requests throughout the rating process. 6. Coordinate interaction with JSC “Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund” within the framework of government support programs for entrepreneurs, including financing, guarantee, and other business support schemes; prepare reports and provide information in accordance with program requirements and the Bank’s internal procedures. 7. Support the division’s internal processes, including participation in the development, review, approval, and implementation of internal policies and procedures; preparation, consolidation, and timely submission of reports to regulatory authorities; monitoring compliance with internal SLAs, response deadlines, and established departmental procedures. REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent will be considered an advantage. Work Experience Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the banking sector. Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Financial Institutions (FI); Correspondent Banking; Treasury; Credit Analysis / Credit Risk; Compliance / KYC Onboarding. Proven experience in independently establishing and managing credit and treasury limits for bank counterparties, conducting financial analysis of financial institutions, and interacting with correspondent banks. Professional Knowledge Strong understanding of the processes involved in establishing and maintaining relationships with financial institutions. Knowledge of KYC/AML requirements, sanctions compliance, and due diligence procedures. Experience in opening and maintaining nostro and vostro correspondent accounts. Knowledge of international banking practices and correspondent banking relationships. Strong financial analysis skills with respect to banks and other financial institutions. Understanding of key banking performance and risk metrics. Experience in preparing Credit Memos, limit proposals, and materials for credit committees. Knowledge of interbank market operations and limit management practices. Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM). Experience in preparing regulatory and management reporting. Skills Strong analytical and financial analysis skills. Experience in preparing presentations, analytical reports, and credit memoranda. Ability to work effectively with large volumes of information and documentation. Strong negotiation and business correspondence skills with international counterparties. Excellent organizational and coordination skills. Ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines. Languages and Computer Skills English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
