Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer in the Engineering consulting industry in Montreal, Quebec. The Senior Civil Hydrotechnical Engineer will play a key role in the growth and development of our hydrotechnical practice in Quebec and across our global operations. Reporting to the Hydrotechnical Practice Lead, you will serve as a technical leader, project manager, and trusted advisor to clients while helping shape the development of our people, capabilities, and business. This posting is for an active opening. Key Responsibilities Provide senior technical leadership and oversight for complex hydrotechnical, hydraulic, and water resources projects. Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support infrastructure, mining, and energy sector developments. Review, approve, and ensure the quality of technical deliverables, designs, and engineering recommendations. Advise clients on water management strategies, flood protection, hydraulic infrastructure, and climate resilience initiatives. Establish and promote engineering best practices, technical standards, and innovative methodologies. Manage multidisciplinary projects through all phases, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. Collaborate with geotechnical, environmental, infrastructure, and energy teams while supporting key project reviews and decision-making processes. Mentor and develop junior engineers, support recruitment and succession planning, and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture. Benefits Total rewards: $125000.00 - $150000.00 annually Build a Rewarding Long-Term Career Work with one of Canada's Top 3 Engineering Firms Pension Bonus Program Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's or Ph.D. considered an asset. 10+ years of hydrotechnical engineering experience with expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources management. Proven track record leading complex hydrologic and hydraulic studies for infrastructure, mining, energy, hydroelectric, or dam-related projects. Strong proficiency with industry-standard modelling software, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, PCSWMM, or equivalent platforms. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with eligibility to practice in Quebec (OIQ) or the ability to obtain registration. Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, and delivering successful engineering projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions. Bilingual in French and English, with expertise in flood risk assessment, climate resilience, water infrastructure, business development, proposal development, and mentorship considered strong assets. #J-18808-Ljbffr
