Job Summary: The Senior Full Stack Software Developer will lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale production business applications using Java for backend and Angular for frontend development. This role involves reverse engineering and re-platforming existing logic, delivering end-to-end full stack solutions, and working within an Agile environment. The developer will also be responsible for API development, database management, and supporting deployments in a Microsoft Azure environment. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain large-scale business applications using Java and Angular frameworks. Reverse engineer and re-platform existing reporting and query logic into modern applications. Design, build, and document RESTful API services. Deploy and support applications in Microsoft Azure environments. Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver software solutions on time. Take ownership of solution architecture and delivery timelines with minimal supervision. Work closely with business teams to understand priorities and deliver business value. Required Skills & Certifications: 8+ years of experience in backend/API development using Java. 5+ years of experience with Angular or comparable modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks. Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, and report/query logic migration. Proven ability to design and develop REST API services. Experience deploying applications in Microsoft Azure and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps). 5+ years working in Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience working within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader public sector IT environment. Knowledge of Ontario Digital Service standards. Experience with business intelligence tools such as WebFOCUS or equivalents. Special Considerations: Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong ownership of projects. Engagement requires adherence to public sector IT standards and practices. Scheduling: Work schedule aligned with Agile team practices; flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines.
