TouchBistro is looking for a
Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate Accounting
to join our Finance & Accounting team in Toronto. In this role, you will focus on revenue accounting, inventory reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy.
Reporting to the Manager, Finance & Accounting, you will work closely with teams across Financial Reporting, Revenue, Supply Chain, Operations, and external vendors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the details, working with data, improving processes, and helping build scalable accounting workflows in a growing environment.
What You'll Do:
Support end-to-end revenue recognition processes, including contract review, deferred revenue schedules, variance investigation, and journal entries in accordance with IFRS 15
Lead and support month-end and year-end close activities related to revenue recognition, inventory results, reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy
Create, maintain, and improve inventory reporting, including inventory valuation, obsolescence testing, performance trends, and future-looking insights
Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, research discrepancies, resolve issues, and explain variances
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
Review and approve vendor invoices and payments, including coordination with Supply Chain when working with third-party logistics firms
Support compliance, internal controls, and annual external audit requirements related to inventory, revenue, and financial reporting
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue, Supply Chain, Operations, and external hardware vendors to support business decisions and improve accounting workflows
What You Bring:
4+ years of accounting experience
Prior exposure to revenue, inventory, and accounts payable
A CPA designation, or you are close to completion
Experience with IFRS, including revenue recognition principles
Experience using accounting and/or billing software
Prior experience with month-end close, variance analysis, and reconciliations
Experience working in a multi-currency environment
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend solutions
The ability to work with limited oversight, adapt to changing priorities, and dive into the details when needed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort coordinating across departments
Nice to Have
Prior experience in a mid-sized company, preferably in SaaS or manufacturing with a hardware offering
Experience with NetSuite, Zuora, and RevPro
Working knowledge of Tableau and/or SQL
Prior experience within a public accounting firm

The final offer amount for this role will depend on geographical region, applicable experience, and the skillset of the candidate.
