Senior Financial Analyst

The Opportunity
Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys turning data into actionable business insights. Reporting into the Finance team, you will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and business decision-making across multiple areas of the organization.
Working closely with operational and business leaders, you will help identify trends, explain financial performance, and provide analysis that supports strategic and operational decisions.
Hybrid Work Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays in our Shelburne Corporate Office, with the remaining days worked remotely. Please be aware that this could change in the future.
What You'll Be Doing
Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods
Investigate financial variances and identify key business drivers
Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards
Analyze profitability, labour costs, spending trends, and operational performance
Partner with leaders across Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and other business functions
Support business cases, capital investment analysis, and cost-saving initiatives
Assist with management presentations and executive reporting
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and forecasting accuracy
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
What We're Looking For
Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Accounting, Reporting, or Business Analysis
Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent FP&A experience
Experience within manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or a multi-site environment
