Overview The Senior Director, Corporate Real Estate Canada Office is responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of Corporate Real Estate services to the RBC businesses throughout the Canadian region. Responsibilities Provide real estate expertise, strategy and direction on all property initiatives throughout the region in support of business strategic objectives. Oversee execution of property transactions, supported by global Centres of Excellence as required. Oversee efficient execution of lease administration for the regional portfolio and maintain compliance with regional legislation, enterprise and CRE policies and standards. Establish and achieve CRE savings targets in liaison with CRE Global Operating Committee and CRE Finance team. Ensure regular and accurate reporting in conjunction with CRE Finance team. Oversee establishment of annual financial plan for region and manage spend against the agreed plan. Provide oversight and accountability for the delivery of all construction projects and initiatives in region, ensuring delivery of stated objectives. Ensure effective delivery of facilities management operations across the region to comply with policies and legislation. Establish a CRE workspace experience governance structure aligned to enterprise requirements and the CRE operating model. Execute the CRE CRM model to maintain strong relationships with key business contacts in the region and deliver timely, robust reporting. Qualifications 10‑12 years of experience in corporate real estate, with at least 3 years in senior management. University degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrable experience managing an international corporate real estate portfolio. Strong cost control and strategic business acumen. Experience developing and maintaining relationships with senior business executives. Experience building, developing and leading teams of professionals, ideally within a geographically diverse portfolio. Proven knowledge of all aspects of project management processes. Experience managing outsourced vendor relationships. Nice‑to‑have: Membership of a relevant professional association such as RICS, PMP, IFMA or similar.
