Job DescriptionJob Description The client is picturing a hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter developer with a strong Java/API integration background, not a configuration analyst or functional consultant. The repeated emphasis on Gosu, Spring Boot, microservices, and SAPI/PAPI/XAPI signals a developer who builds and maintains the integration layer around ClaimCenter, not someone who only configures business rules or screens. The explicit list of protocols and tooling (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, YAML, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman) points to a candidate who owns integration design end to end, from documentation to testing. This role should not be confused with a Guidewire Business Analyst, a QA/testing specialist, or a ClaimCenter functional configurator: the client is explicit about "designing, developing, documenting, and supporting" web services, which is a build role. The client has since confirmed active urgency: they are ready to move quickly and meet candidates, resolving the earlier contradiction between "no current vacancy" and the ASAP submission date. Work mode is confirmed as hybrid with two days per week on-site, and mandate duration is confirmed at 6 months, renewable. Guidewire ACE certification has been reconfirmed by the client as a distinct criterion. Requirements REQUIRED Hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter experience Design, development, documentation and support of Java-based web services and API integrations Gosu programming Guidewire integration frameworks, including SAPI, PAPI and XAPI architecture Microservices architecture and Spring Boot RESTful and SOAP web services Batch processing API testing and troubleshooting (tools such as Postman) JSON, XML and YAML API definition and documentation via Swagger/OpenAPI Authentication, authorization, error-handling, logging, messaging and integration-testing practices PREFERRED Guidewire ACE certification Note: the requirement list is broad by design; grouped into fewer criteria below for scoring purposes since a mandate-level grid is capped at 6 criteria. WHAT WE DON'T WANT CV shows Guidewire experience limited to PolicyCenter or BillingCenter, with no ClaimCenter exposure. CV shows Guidewire configuration or business-analyst work with no coding/development responsibilities. No Gosu programming listed on the CV. No Java-based web services or API integration development experience listed. No experience with Spring Boot or an equivalent Java integration framework.
