Job Overview: The Senior Data Architect will support the Justice Information Management System (JIMS) 3.0 project, a large-scale data integration initiative focused on consolidating multiple court reporting data marts into a centralized Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The role involves data architecture design, data modeling, data profiling, ETL development, business intelligence reporting, data governance, and enterprise architecture alignment. The successful candidate will provide leadership in designing scalable data solutions, improving data quality, and supporting strategic reporting initiatives. Requirement/Must Have: Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience designing, planning, implementing, and supporting enterprise solution databases in large and complex environments. Minimum 8 years of experience documenting enterprise solution databases. Minimum 8 years of experience with enterprise architecture principles, standards, methods, and best practices. Minimum 3 years of experience performing threat and risk assessments and presenting recommendations to senior management. Experience providing leadership, planning, estimation, and presentation of technical solutions. Strong knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and enterprise data management. Experience developing and supporting SQL databases. Experience with Transact-SQL and database querying. Experience implementing SQL-based data warehouse solutions. Experience: 8+ years of enterprise database architecture and design experience. Experience reviewing and modernizing data marts and enterprise reporting solutions. Experience with data profiling, dimensional modeling, data mapping, and ETL development. Experience with enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives. Experience working in large enterprise IT environments. Experience supporting business intelligence and analytics platforms. Responsibilities: Review existing data marts and reporting structures. Perform detailed data profiling and analysis. Develop data architecture designs, mapping specifications, and data models. Identify dimensions and facts required for enterprise data warehouse implementation. Design, develop, and test ETL processes. Develop Power BI reports for validation and testing purposes. Perform quality assurance testing on dimensions, facts, and reporting outputs. Update existing data models with new attributes and enhancements. Stage and integrate data from multiple source systems. Address data mart enhancements and defect resolution activities. Provide recommendations, lessons learned, and project closeout feedback. Define and manage enterprise data architecture standards, principles, and frameworks. Identify and document enterprise data requirements. Promote data quality, reuse, and reduction of data redundancy. Develop transition plans to support future-state data architecture initiatives. Support architecture governance, reviews, and compliance activities. Provide consulting and guidance to projects and stakeholders regarding data architecture. Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams and technical stakeholders. Should Have: TOGAF Certification. Experience with architecture modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, ER Studio, ERwin, BPwin, or Rational Rose. Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies. Experience with cloud computing and big data platforms. Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Cognos BI Suite, SQL Server Services, or MicroStrategy. Experience designing enterprise architecture database models in large-scale environments. Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.
