Senior Content Author
to join our Team!
This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Toronto office.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone who will play the key hybrid hands-on role of managing website content from the project intake to CMS execution of Brand, Product, and technical integration; with the aim to improve and maintain the website content lifecycle according to our clients' business goals and brand requirements. You will act as a primary client contact, managing and coordinating agency resources to ensure all day-to-day client needs are met and all assigned projects are completed smoothly. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with strong organizational and collaboration skills, takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions, and takes extreme pride in their work.

The Senior Content Author is the individual who intakes and executes each task big or small to ensure that our client's website content is published & recorded on-site, on-time, and in accordance with brand guidelines, BIMM quality standards and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
Work with the project team to connect the dots across a broad ecosystem of services, processes and systems to ensure that all requirements are covered
Work closely with the internal and external teams to fulfill daily client requests, ensuring all assigned projects and tasks are executed to plan and in a timely manner
Create and maintain content in multiple Content Management Systems (CMS) for our clients' websites.
Crop / compress / transfer visual assets to Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms for use on client websites & storage in marketing archives
Maintain project-specific documentation, including but not limited to: briefs, work-back schedules, and scopes for each project
Produce communication materials (contact and status reports, etc.)
Handle all meeting details, e.g., scheduling, arranging rooms, taking minutes
Monitor time spent on projects for proper management of resource capacity
Manage team capacity towards key milestones and deadlines
Coordinate with delivery teams to estimate work effort
Develop a positive and partnering relationship with all clients and partners
Oversee the accuracy and quality of the agency product
Seek improved, streamlined processes to better manage deliverables
Possess a top line understanding of the client's business and competitive environment
Keep all teams updated on the status of deliverables
Assemble and collate presentations and plans
Practice Quality Assurance for the work of yourself and your peers
Deploy/activate website content on a consistent schedule
Liaise with content writers & product specialists to ensure accuracy & brand consistency
Ensure legal compliance requirements are maintained based on established guidelines (e.g. copyright, accessibility, data protection, and legal disclaimers)
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and generate new ideas to draw user's attention
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of project management experience—preferably within a digital agency
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
Superior organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
The ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to problem-solve in both solo and collaborative situations
Project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong client service orientation
High quality assurance standards
Proactivity – the ability to anticipate and manage risk
A calm and patient demeanor under pressure
Assist with building a positive agency culture
Nice to have
Previous work experience as a Content Writer/Author
Experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager
Experience with task/project management software (ie: JIRA, Teamwork, Trello, Asana)
Scrum and Agile knowledge
Experience with resource planning/estimation
BSc degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Advertising, Business Administration or relevant field
Hands-on experience with MS Office, Photoshop, and content management platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful) is a plus
Working knowledge of Issue tracking tools (ie: Jira) a plus
Working knowledge of Corporate wiki tools (ie: Confluence) a plus
Working knowledge of WCAG AA Accessibility standards a plus
Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
Technical knowledge and an understanding of software development practices

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Total compensation range:$55,000—$65,000 CAD
