Summary
As part of the Service Design & Transformation team, the Service Design Transition Architect (SDTA) plays a key role in supporting Public Sector solutions by being involved in both the solution design and delivery phases of the solution. The SDTA’s primary focus is to engulf themselves in the pre-sale deal process and post-dale delivery process following SDTA best practices.
Pre‑Sales Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with pre‑sales deal teams
Support pre‑sale deal team with championing collaboration with key stakeholders in defining a solution that meets non‑standard requirements
Scrub RFP and derive results within Traceability Matrix to help provide solution requirements (People, Process, Tools) and impacted stakeholders
Inventory any questions with deal team and/or customer to acquire clarification prior to shaping solution
Review any AGB initiatives or NPIs associated with products to determine whether they will satisfy any required requirements
Develop non‑standard solution requirements with perceived impacted stakeholders and conceptual OPS models for Service Assurance, Service Provisioning, and Billing
Review solution with impacted stakeholders to ensure alignment prior to assessment (including PBR)
Assess non‑standard solution requirements with impacted brokers to acquire costs and delivery timelines
Review solution costs to confirm they satisfy requirements and challenge costs where applicable
Provide input into assumptions, dependencies, and risks associated with solution and EIRC information
Acquire approvals from all applicable CP4 leaders on solution
Review solution components with Service Design & Transition leadership prior to EIRC
Contribute to SOX when and where applicable
Post‑Sale Responsibilities
Upon acquiring signed contract, complete hand‑off package and review with assigned CSAP PM and acquire alignment
Partner with the Senior Transition Business Analyst to develop and present an Integrated Conceptual Solution (ICS)
Proactively identify and mitigate solution‑based challenges and support impacted team
Facilitate and lead solution workshops
Monitors development of the IT and operational deliverables, and facilitates resolution of roadblocks (when applicable)
Keeps abreast of internal business capacities, system and products
Proactively identifies and resolves deal related issues and escalates when required
Champion operational design within change requests (CRs) to ensure changes are aligned to overall solution
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) to maintain solution integrity
Federal Government accounts: lead Acceptance Test Plan/ Acceptance Test Results (ATP/ATR) activities with internal and external (client) stakeholders
Provide solution support during warranty period
Critical Qualifications
5+ years of experience in pre‑sale design and post‑sale delivery.
Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.
Problem Solving Skills & Analysis.
Business Analysis and operational experience.
A broad understanding of BBMs Products & Services.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization and with customers; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
Knowledge and experience in domains such as service provisioning, customer service, service assurance, workforce management, change management, billing, reporting, process automation, monitoring tools, service levels and security.
Preferred Qualifications
The ability to network and collaborate as liaison conveying information needs of the business to the development teams; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery.
Positive team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
Strong leadership abilities.
Knowledge and certifications on ITIL is an asset.
In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
