Senior Civil Engineer – Municipal & Land Development
Location:

Salary:
$130,000 – $150,000 + benefits
Overview
On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing engineering consultancy in Vancouver, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their municipal and land development team.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a technical leadership role with a firm that has a strong reputation in delivering complex infrastructure and subdivision projects across the Lower Mainland and Western Canada.
The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, client engagement, and mentoring junior engineers, while contributing to the continued growth of a highly respected civil engineering group.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of municipal infrastructure and land development projects, including roads, grading, servicing, and utility design
Manage projects through all phases from concept design through to detailed design and construction support
Liaise with municipalities, developers, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams
Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
Ensure all work complies with relevant municipal standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
Support project planning, scheduling, and budget management to ensure successful delivery
Contribute to proposal development and client relationship management where required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
P.Eng. designation in British Columbia (or eligibility to obtain)
8+ years of experience in civil engineering, ideally within a consulting environment
Strong background in municipal infrastructure and/or land development projects in BC
Solid understanding of local municipal standards and approval processes
Proficiency with Civil 3D and related civil design software
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
