Our team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who is curious, collaborative, and motivated to create impactful solutions to join the Trading Integrations team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Trading Integrations, this role will play an important part in delivering and evolving business‑critical investment technology solutions across Investment Management, Investment Operations, and other key ISG portfolios. The Trading Integrations team enables the core data, vendor connectivity, straight‑through processing, and system integration services that support HOOPP’s trading desks and enterprise investment workflows. The Senior Business Analyst will help ensure that HOOPP’s trading integrations remain reliable, scalable, well‑controlled, and aligned to the Fund’s strategic investment priorities.
What you will do
Play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that power HOOPP’s front‑to‑back investment and trading capabilities across vendor platforms, internal systems, and enterprise data services.
Lead end‑to‑end business analysis for high‑impact trading integration initiatives, including requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, testing support, and delivery coordination.
Work collaboratively with Investment Management, Treasury Operations, Securities Operations, Liquidity Risk, Collateral, Compliance, Risk, and ISG teams to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and delivery outcomes.
Design and document high‑quality business analysis artefacts, including business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, process flows, operating models, and integration requirements.
Analyze current‑state and target‑state trading workflows to identify opportunities to improve straight‑through processing, data quality, operational efficiency, risk controls, and scalability.
Support the delivery of integrations across HOOPP’s core investment technology ecosystem, including Bloomberg AIM, FX Connect, ICE, OneTick, internal trading systems, data services, Trading Data APIs, FIX‑based workflows, and other vendor connectivity platforms.
Manage vendor engagement for onboarding, enhancements, issue resolution, testing, implementation support, and roadmap alignment across trading and integration platforms.
Contribute actively to Agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, MVP definition, release readiness, and delivery of high‑quality increments aligned to product roadmaps.
Build trusted relationships with trading desks and enterprise stakeholders by communicating requirements, risks, decisions, timelines, and outcomes with clarity and confidence.
Leverage AI and emerging technologies responsibly to accelerate analysis, automate routine tasks, improve requirements quality, strengthen data validation, and enable faster, smarter decision‑making across the trading technology lifecycle.
What you will bring
5+ years of capital markets experience, with strong domain knowledge in one or more investment areas such as futures, fixed income, equities, foreign exchange, derivatives, collateral trading, collateral management, payments, settlements, or post‑trade processing.
Strong understanding of the front‑to‑back trade lifecycle, including trade capture, execution, confirmation, settlement, collateral, accounting, reporting, and downstream operational processes.
Demonstrated experience working with third‑party vendors and integration teams, such as Bloomberg, ICE, or other financial technology providers, to deliver technical solutions within defined project timelines.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
Strong SQL skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets, validate business requirements, support end‑to‑end testing, investigate data discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues across integrated systems.
Solid understanding of core technology concepts, including database structures, system workflows, user interfaces, business rules, APIs, data flows, and integrated software platforms.
Experience supporting vendor and external system integrations, including the ability to understand interface requirements, data dependencies, exception handling, testing needs, and operational impacts.
Strong product ownership mindset, with a focus on lean delivery, Minimum Viable Products, iterative releases, business value, and practical outcomes.
Quality‑focused approach, with hands‑on experience validating software functionality, supporting QA and UAT, identifying defects, and ensuring delivered solutions meet business expectations.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships across business, technology, vendor and senior stakeholder groups in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Experience with SimCorp Dimension, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Bloomberg AIM, ICE, FX Connect, OneTick, FIX messaging, or investment data platforms is considered an asset.
Ability to challenge the status quo respectfully and constructively, contributing ideas that improve processes, systems, and ways of working.
Creative problem‑solving skills, with the ability to explore innovative approaches and deliver practical, effective solutions.
Comfort working in environments of ambiguity, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
