Overview
This Project Manager and Analyst role within Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS) supports the assessment, improvement, and delivery of strategic applications within the RAMPP (Risk, Analytics, Modelling, Pricing & Processing) organization. You will work on complex problems alongside experienced team members to deliver solutions that enhance Asset Liability Management and FTP capabilities, focusing on project coordination and delivery.
Responsibilities
Support the management and tracking of concurrent project initiatives, monitoring progress against plans and flagging deviations.
Assist in eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements (process maps, user stories, data catalogues, business rules).
Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders through clear written and verbal updates.
Proactively identify risks, issues and conflicts across workstreams; elevate appropriately to senior team members.
Execute deliverables for cross‑functional initiatives and support implementation aligned with RBC processes and procedures.
Build and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships to enable collaboration and project success.
Support project coordination, administrative activities and stakeholder reporting using in‑house tools.
Leverage Gen‑AI tools to improve efficiency and contribute to risk‑management analytics, dashboards and user adoption efforts with Quants, Trading and Market Risk partners.
In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree with 1–3 years of experience in project management or business analysis, managing multiple priorities and concurrent workstreams.
Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write, extract and analyse queries; strong analytical and data discovery skills to support decision‑making.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Solid organisational and project‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured manner.
Working knowledge of the financial services industry, with a results‑oriented mindset and ability to adapt quickly.
Nice to have
Technology consulting background.
Foundational knowledge of Capital Markets covering trade capture/processing and risk analytics.
Foundational knowledge of fixed income, FX or other asset classes; familiarity with Fund Transfer Pricing and Asset Liability Management concepts.
Project management certification or coursework.
