THE ROLE
The firm is seeking a
Senior Architect or Project Lead (registration preferred but not essential)
to lead projects and contribute strategically to the overall success of the firm. This role is for an architect who excels leading and managing projects post design phase, ensuring excellent technical execution and meeting client expectations and project deliverables.
You'll oversee diverse project types, both small and large, and manage project teams through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of projects, managing schedules, budgets, resource allocation and deliverables
Oversee technical documentation, detailing, and construction administration
Multidisciplinary coordination
Serve as primary liaison with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
Guide and mentor junior and intermediate staff, fostering professional growth
Identify project challenges early and develop effective, timely solutions
Contribute to studio-wide initiatives and represent the firm within the local design community
Apply appropriate quality control and quality assessment standards to projects
Project Management through all phases
WHAT'S REQUIRED
Registered Architect with the
Alberta Association of Architects (AAA)
or another association preferred
9+ years
of professional experience, including managing project delivery
Proven portfolio in
commercial, mixed-use, or institutional
architecture
Proficiency in
Revit, AutoCAD
, and project management tools
Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to balance design excellence with technical and delivery
PMP Designation an asset
