Join WSP's Archaeology team as a
Senior Archaeologist
, leading meaningful projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Your expertise will help shape heritage management and archaeological practice in these diverse regions, ensuring cultural preservation and sustainable development.
Your Impact
Lead archaeological assessments aligned with provincial and territorial heritage acts and federal policies.
Deliver proposals and reports for diverse archaeological projects that influence community planning and development.
Oversee project scope, budgets, and schedules while fostering strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Champion health, safety, and security across all projects and teams.
Mentor and inspire archaeological staff, supporting growth and excellence.
Engage with Indigenous Nations, regulators, and senior leadership to ensure culturally respectful practices.
Analyze and interpret archaeological data to inform strategic decisions and shape the future of heritage management.
The Skills That Set You Apart
Professional license or permit holder eligibility for archaeological fieldwork in one or more of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, NWT, or Nunavut.
10+ years of consulting archaeology experience in these regions.
Expertise in both technical and business aspects of consulting archaeology.
Proven leadership in mentoring teams and managing complex projects.
Ability to design scopes and budgets for projects of varying size and complexity.
Valid Canadian driver's licence and ability to obtain Provincial and Federal Security Clearance.
Preferred: Membership with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) or eligibility, and deep knowledge of Indigenous and historical material culture.
