Senior Accountant Location: Delta, BC Full-Time | 100% On-Site Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually based on experience Our client, a growing company in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Finance & Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys full-cycle accounting, team leadership, and working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting function, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, accruals, and month-end/year-end close processes. Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts. Supervise, mentor, and support a team of 2–3 accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and professional development. Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, cash applications, and customer account reconciliations. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation. Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, Sales, and Customer Service teams to resolve accounting and billing issues. Prepare government remittances, including GST/PST and other regulatory filings. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation across multiple business entities. Qualifications CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong full-cycle accounting knowledge Previous experience supervising or leading an accounting team Experience within transportation, logistics, trucking, or supply chain industries is considered a strong asset Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and general accounting principles Proficiency with QuickBooks and experience using ERP, TMS, or other accounting systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
