The Role
BinSentry is seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in an agile environment and is passionate about
building scalable processes. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential, ideal for someone
who is ready to take ownership of key accounting functions and make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Allocations: Oversee complex general ledger accounts including deferred revenue,
inventory, and COGS.
Month-End Close: Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements in accordance with ASPE.
Audit Management: Liase with external auditors, providing audit requests and supporting
schedules to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, systems,
and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy as the company scales.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and
Development.
What Success Looks Like
In your first year you will:
Accelerate the month-end close cycle, ensuring clean, accurate reconciliations and financial
statements are completed predictably each month.
Establish strong working relationships across Operations, Sales, and Development to provide
actionable accurate reporting and analysis, and operational alignment.
Optimize and document core accounting processes—to build scalable internal controls and
processes as BinSentry grows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
CPA designation (or in progress).
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is a must.
Ability to demonstrate logic and analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform under tight
timelines with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
