Job Title Security Professional - Emergency Shelter Location Mississauga, ON Type Full Time Pay Rate $19.00 per hour Shifts Monday to Sunday |7am - 7pm | 7pm - 7am | 8pm - 8am | Continental Rotational Shift Responsibilities Site Surveillance & Patrol: Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access. Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site. Access Control: Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use. Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly. Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary. Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift. Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times. Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel. General Security Duties: Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift. Requirements 1-2 years of experience working with vulnerable individual in Shelter, Long term care, Hospital, High risk environment. Must have a valid Ontario Security License. Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
