Location: Approximately 45 minutes outside of Terrace, BC Term: Approximately 8 Weeks (Starting July 5, 2026) Rotation: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (Camp-Based) Shift: Night Shift We are currently seeking professional and reliable Security Officers for a temporary remote project providing security services at a laydown yard located approximately 45 minutes outside of Terrace, BC. This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working independently in a remote environment and are committed to maintaining a safe and secure worksite. Responsibilities Conduct proactive patrols of public and restricted areas to identify security risks, safety hazards, and policy violations. Monitor site activity and maintain a visible security presence. Respond to incidents, emergencies, and conflicts, coordinating with the RCMP and emergency services when required. Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to workers, visitors, and authorized personnel. Utilize strong communication and de-escalation techniques to manage situations professionally. Complete hourly patrol reports and maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports and daily activity logs. Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, community stakeholders, and law enforcement partners. Qualifications Valid BC Security Worker Licence. Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean Driver's Abstract. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills and experience completing electronic reports. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physically fit and capable of responding quickly to incidents on foot. Ability to work night shifts. Ability to reside in camp accommodations during the 7-on/7-off rotation. Compensation & Benefits Base Pay Rate: $22.00/ Day plus Daily and Weekly OT. Daily Per Diem: $75 per day Camp accommodations provided Paid travel time up to a specified distance (details to be discussed during the interview process) Additional Information Please note that this is a remote worksite position requiring employees to stay in camp accommodations during their scheduled rotation. Contract start date is anticipated to be July 5, 2026 , with an expected duration of approximately 8 weeks .
