Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services. We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. POSITION SUMMARY Job type: Security/Access Control Use of Force Reports to : Site Supervisor/Regional Manager Anticipated start date : 27 Aug 2026 Posting Close Date : Until filled Hourly Rate of Pay : $26.86/hr Hours of work : 0900 - 1900 Shifts : Continental Shift (7 shifts in a 2 week rotation) Location : 660 Fleet St, Toronto, Ontario Accessible by Transit : Yes Uniform: White Shirt, Cargo pants, black footwear, Use of Force Level III equipment(CM) RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured Verify identification and sign in/out visitors as required Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment Maintain effective communication Respond to alarms and calls for assistance Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors Regular interior foot patrols Make sure the Security Desk is always monitored Able to operate a computer with email and Microsoft Office systems Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: *Mandatory* - Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License. *Mandatory* – Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate *Mandatory*- Be able to obtain a Level I (Reliability) Clearance - minimum 5 Years of Residency in Canada Must be able to complete CGL’s Use of Force Level III Class The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols Good understanding of computers Customer service/reception/administrative skills The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential WHAT WE OFFER YOU : Medical and dental benefits Employee Assistance Program Family Assistance program Coaching and counselling support WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR COMMSSIONAIRES : As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, can multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
