Job Skills / Requirements
Paladin Security is currently accepting applications for Security Officers to support a client site in the Squamish area. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where professionalism, customer service, and safety are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform access control for all authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment.
• Protect client property and assets by identifying and responding to potential security risks.
• Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action and completing investigations as required.
• Communicate effectively with the client, emergency services, and internal teams.
• Complete detailed reports, occurrence reports, and daily activity logs.
• Assist with traffic control and other security-related duties as required.
Requirements:
• Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand and patrol for the majority of an 8-12 hour shift.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable navigating stairs, uneven terrain, and large properties.
• Ability to remain calm and professional while responding to emergencies or challenging situations.
• Basic computer proficiency, including report writing, smartphone applications, and two-way radio communication.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, members of the public, and emergency responders.
