Job Title : Security Guard - Data Centre Type : Full Time & Causal Pay Rate : $18.25 - $21.00 per hour Shifts: Night Shifts Overview : We are looking for Security Guard - Data Centre who is tasked with providing strict access control, constant surveillance, protection, and a visible security presence within a data centre. RESPONSIBILITIES : Access Control: Security must provide strict access control/procedures to persons entering/exiting. Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis. Maintain a visible security presence: Staying stationed at a fixed location within the retail premises to deter theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activities. Threat Assessment: Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses. Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders. Assist customers and staff : By providing directions, answering safety-related questions, and offering assistance as needed, without disrupting the flow of operations. Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review. REQUIREMENTS : 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector. Must have a valid Ontario Security License. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience. Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
