Join our QC Microbiology Laboratory team in supporting cGMP-compliant manufacturing of biological products. As a Scientist II, you'll contribute to ensuring product quality through environmental monitoring, microbiological testing, and validation support. You'll have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions by performing and overseeing critical testing procedures, writing technical documentation, and conducting data analysis. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with technical writing and collaboration across teams, offering an opportunity to grow in pharmaceutical microbiology.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Expertise in aseptic techniques, light microscopy, gram staining, bioburden testing, and bacterial endotoxin testing
• Proficiency in environmental monitoring procedures and personnel monitoring during aseptic processing
• Strong technical writing skills for SOPs, test records, qualification protocols, and investigation reports
• Experience with microbial identification and taxonomy
• Data analysis and trending capabilities
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and laboratory safety practices
• LIMS experience preferred
• Ability to work M-F 8am-5pm with flexibility for occasional holiday and weekend hours
• Strong organizational skills for managing laboratory supplies and inventory
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration
• Physical ability to work while fully gowned in a controlled environment
Education:
• Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in biological and/or pharmaceutical industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences or Chemical/Biological Engineering
Compensation
The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $62,000.00–$93,050.00.
