Science Workshop Facilitator
Position Summary
The School of Trades and Technology is seeking a term-certain Science Workshop Facilitator for the period of July 2, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
The Science Workshop Facilitator is responsible for coordinating the operation of Science Workshops, planning and delivering workshop activities based on the Alberta Education curriculum, facilitating said workshops, and securing and maintaining funding from new and existing partners.

Position Responsibilities
Deliver science outreach workshops for community partners
Assist with the planning of programming and instructing of workshops
Promote workshops and seek out new workshop opportunities
Research, develop and tests science workshop content and activities
Coordinates workshop operations
Prepare grant applications and grant reports to funding partners
Required Qualifications
Completion of a 1-year college certificate, one year at a university, or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license
More than 6 months to 1 year of experience
Experience planning and facilitating science workshops for Grades K-12 audience, computers, Microsoft Office, and experience working with youth in school, camp or club situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of post-secondary training in Bachelor of Science or combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education
Experience planning and facilitating programming for Indigenous youth
Experience planning and facilitating female-oriented programming

Starting at $23.15 per hour
Benefits and Compensation Information
An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
