Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Sandblaster/Raw Painter - Continental Day Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Sandblaster/Raw Painter to join our team for continental day shifts. This role involves sandblasting epoxy and metal parts, cross-training on painting duties, and handling materials within our manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Sandblast epoxy and metal parts, dedicating at least 75% of the day to this task. Cross-train on painting, taking up 20% of the day when sandblasting tasks are not pressing. Move barrels of sand and parts around the floor using an electric walkie, which accounts for 5% of the day. Prepare and maintain the blast and paint booth and personal protective equipment daily. Prepare objects for blast operations following procedures and instructions. Monitor the condition of equipment and tooling to ensure efficiency. Clean and prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, and grinding. Use spray equipment (air/airless) to apply paint and other materials. Apply protective coating to various metal surfaces. Monitor extractors, drying fans, and heaters. Board and mask material as required. Ensure all paint-related waste is properly labeled, stored, and disposed of. Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition. Ensure that all tasks meet requirements before passing them to the next operation. Meet or exceed established production levels. Perform preventative maintenance procedures. Inspect all work before proceeding to the next operation. Follow all health and safety procedures for machinery. Ensure waste disposal adheres to Health and Safety/Environmental procedures. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or production. Experience with electric pallet/walkie (no license required). Comfortable wearing an air-fed suit/respirator. Comfortable working in enclosed spaces. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with counterbalance. Experience with overhead cranes. Familiarity with assembly, hand and power tools, and machine operation. Why Work Here? The role requires working 12-hour continental shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM, with a rotating schedule of 5 days on in the first week and 2 days on in the second week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
