Job DescriptionJob Description RTL | Reliable Transportation Link is a Vaughan-based transportation and logistics company moving freight for customers across Canada and into the United States. We’re adding a Sales Associate / Pricing Specialist to our team — the person who turns inbound quote requests into competitive, profitable rates, and who helps us build the pricing system behind them. This is a hands-on role on a small team, working closely with ownership, sales, and dispatch. You’ll see the quote requests as they come in, price them, send them, and follow the ones you win right through to the first booking. What you’ll do Price and respond to inbound quote requests from new and existing customers, typically same-day, for lanes across Canada and cross-border to the US Build rates from carrier costs, lane history, fuel, accessorials, and current market conditions, with margin in mind every time Own our price lists: organize, update, and maintain them so the whole team quotes from the same numbers Build and maintain quoting templates so every quote going out is consistent, complete, and professional Help systemize how we quote — processes, tools, and checks that make pricing faster and more accurate as volume grows Review quotes for profitability and flag where we’re leaving money on the table or pricing ourselves out Follow up on open quotes and convert them into booked freight When a customer books, walk them through onboarding and the booking process until their first load is confirmed, then hand off to dispatch Confirm capacity and equipment with dispatch before committing to a rate Track quote volume, win rate, and margin and report to ownership What we’re looking for 1–3 years in freight pricing, logistics sales, brokerage, or dispatch (truckload, LTL, or intermodal) Working knowledge of Canadian lanes and cross-border freight to the US — border requirements, equipment, and what drives cost Comfortable with numbers and margins; you can build a rate quickly and explain why it’s right Organized and process-minded: you like clean price lists, good templates, and a system that works without you babysitting it Strong written communication — most quoting and customer onboarding happens by email Handles volume well; multiple open quotes at once doesn’t rattle you Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets; TMS or rate-management software experience is an asset Team player with sales instinct: you follow up, ask for the business, and close Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Why RTL Direct access to the owners — decisions get made fast Room to shape how we price and grow into a pricing lead or account management role as we scale Small team, no bureaucracy, your work shows up on the board every day \nCompany Description RTL | Reliable Transportation Link is a Vaughan-based transportation and logistics company serving shippers across Canada and the USA.
