Help clients turn their ideas into Dream Spaces
Dream Spaces designs custom kitchens, cabinetry, closets, built-ins and millwork for homeowners, interior designers and builders.
We're looking for a Sales and Design Consultant who can guide clients from their first conversation through design, estimating and a signed contract. This is an opportunity to combine creativity with relationship-building: you'll help clients imagine their space, develop a design that works beautifully and earn their confidence in moving forward.
You don't need to arrive knowing every part of our process. If you have a strong design eye, confidence with clients and the motivation to close a sale, we can train you on our software and approach.
Why join Dream Spaces?
Work on distinctive custom kitchens, built-ins and residential spaces
Combine creative design work with client relationships and sales
Take ownership of projects from the initial consultation to the signed contract
Earn uncapped commission, with a higher rate on business you develop yourself
Receive Mozaik training if your experience is with another design platform
Work in a hybrid arrangement based from our Barrie office
Build lasting relationships with homeowners, designers and builders
What you'll do
Respond to incoming inquiries from homeowners, Interior Designers and builders
Learn what each client wants from their space, lifestyle and investment
Develop thoughtful cabinetry layouts, drawings and presentations
Prepare and present designs and estimates
Designs are done on Mozaik and then uploaded to the office for approval
Follow up consistently and confidently guide clients toward a decision
Turn qualified opportunities into signed projects
Develop your own referral relationships, particularly with designers and builders
Maintain accurate client and project information
Prepare organized handoffs for the production and installation teams
What success looks like
Once fully established in the role, you will:
Generate approximately $60,000 in signed work per month
Provide prompt, professional follow-up to every qualified lead
Create designs that balance beauty, function, budget and buildability
Deliver complete, accurate project handoffs
Build relationships with designers and builders who return with new projects
Give clients an experience they are excited to recommend
Follow our proven Sales Model
What you bring
At least five years of sales or relevant client-facing experience
A strong eye for proportion, colour, materials and spatial planning
Confidence working with homeowners, interior designers, builders and contractors
The ability to present ideas, discuss budgets and ask for the sale
Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-through
Comfort with a base-wage-plus-commission compensation structure
The ability to work reliably from our Barrie office on a hybrid schedule
Experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, millwork, renovations, home furnishings or residential interiors is especially valuable. (We will train the right person )
Experience with Mozaik, AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar design software is an asset. We will train the right person to use Mozaik.
Compensation and terms
$36,000$100,000+ in expected annual earnings at target
Base draw plus uncapped commission
Two weeks of vacation
Three-month probationary period
Permanent, full-time position
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a brief online behavioural assessment, which takes approximately 10 minutes.
