About the job 🚛 Safety & Compliance Specialist — Independent Contractor (Remote) Engagement type: Independent contractor services agreement — this is not employment Location: Remote, outside the United States. Coverage window: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM — 5:00 PM US EST (availability requirement, not a fixed shift) Compensation: Monthly service fee, paid monthly by bank transfer 📌 About the engagement A US-based trucking carrier is contracting with an experienced safety and compliance professional to support its DOT/FMCSA safety program. You will operate as an independent business providing services under a written contractor agreement, not as an employee. 📋 Scope of services -Monitor driver safety performance — safety scores, violations, accidents, harsh events -Review and manage ELD / HOS logs -Investigate accidents, incidents, and claims -Deliver driver onboarding and safety training -Track violations and follow up on corrective actions -Maintain DQ files and compliance documentation -Monitor Samsara safety events (speeding, harsh braking, etc.) -Communicate daily with drivers on safety matters -Coordinate with the carrier’s dispatch, fleet, and operations functions -Support full compliance with FMCSA / DOT regulations ✅ Qualifications Minimum 2 years in US trucking safety / compliance with CDL drivers Strong working knowledge of FMCSA / DOT regulations Experience with ELD systems (Samsara preferred) Ability to manage multiple drivers simultaneously Strong problem-solving and decision-making judgment High level of responsibility and attention to detail 🌐 Language Fluent English (required) Fluent Russian (required) Must be comfortable communicating with drivers in both languages 💻 Contractor requirements -You provide your own laptop/PC, high-speed internet, and quiet working environment -Registered as self-employed, sole proprietor, or business entity in your country of residence -Responsible for your own taxes, social contributions, and local registrations -Able to complete and sign IRS Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E -Services performed from outside the United States Please start your CV or message us with words: «Safety First», so we know you read the requirements.
