TAG is looking for a Safety Coordinator & Warehouse Operator for one of their Operating Company groups located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Warehouse position requires 1-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse and ensuring the safety and security of the Shop.
Responsibilities And Skills
Maintains Company parts, equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
Pick up and deliver parts and tools to various work sites
Load materials for disposal as required
Loads and unloads deliveries for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for the Construction or Service Department
Distributes packages received for ordering Department
Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for the purpose of moving large heavy items safely and effectively – TRAINING PROVIDED
Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct
Ensure that all warehouse areas are kept clean and free of any safety hazards
Research discrepancies on orders and/or packing slips for the purpose of correcting errors and/or returning damaged/incorrect items to vendors
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area
Performs location-specific safety responsibilities to support operational needs and the EH&S manager.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Service Manager
Support COR requirements, including obtaining COR auditor certification and participating in annual internal audits
Coordinate and chair quarterly Joint Health & Safety meetings, including preparing meeting minutes
Manage PPE inventory, including issuing PPE to new hires and existing technicians, maintaining adequate stock levels on site, and tracking inventory (including serial numbers where applicable)
Coordinate and deliver monthly toolbox talks
Conduct monthly warehouse inspections monthly fire extinguisher inspections, and follow up on corrective actions
Manage equipment inventory, including tracking, scheduling, and coordinating third-party recertification (fire extinguishers, wire rope, lifting equipment, scissor lifts, baker scaffolds, forklifts)
Assist with onboarding, including warehouse site orientation for new hires (site layout, emergency response procedures, and first aid locations)
Track and support incident corrective actions (implementation/delegation as needed)
Skills/Qualifications
Minimum of 1-3 years working in a warehouse
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience and/or knowledge of HVAC/R preferred but not necessary
Strong Communication skills
