We are seekinga detail-orientedand proactiveSafety Coordinator to support our workplace health and safety programs in Windsor, Ontario. This position plays a key role in maintaining safety compliance, coordinating training activities, supporting incident management, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.
The Safety Coordinatorwill work closelywith the SafetyDirector, third-partysafety consultant, branchmanagement team, supervisors, and field employeesto promote asafe and compliantworkplace.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Administration
Maintain safety trainingrecords, certifications, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate employee safetytraining,renewals, and onboardingrequirements.
Maintain safety databasesand tracking systems.
Prepare safety reports, statistics, and documentation.
Coordinate safety meetings, take minutes, and follow up on activities.
Support communication ofsafety policies andprocedures.
Incident & Claims Support
Assist with workplaceincident reporting andinvestigations.
Maintain incident trackinglogs and relateddocumentation.
Support WSIB claimadministration and documentation.
Assist with modifiedwork programs andreturn-to-workdocumentation.
Track corrective actionsand follow-uprequirements.
Compliance & AuditSupport
Assist with internaland external safetyaudits.
Support compliance withOntario Occupational Healthand Safety Act(OHSA) requirements.
Monitor safety documentationrequirements.
Track inspections, correctiveactions, and safetyimprovement initiatives.
Support safety projectsand continuous improvementactivities.
Employee & Management Support
Provide administrative safetysupport to supervisorsand field employees.
Assist with safetycommunications and awarenessinitiatives.
Work collaboratively withinternal teams andexternal safety partners.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 yearsof safety coordination, administration, or relatedexperience.
Knowledge of OntarioOccupational Healthand Safety Act(OHSA) requirements.
Joint Health & SafetyCommittee (JHSC) Certification(Part I & II) is considered anasset.
Experience with WSIBclaims administration,incident reporting, andreturn-to-workprocesses is preferred.
Experience maintaining safetyrecords and compliancedocumentation.
Construction, manufacturing, orfield safety experienceis an asset.
Strong Microsoft Officeskills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
