Job DescriptionJob Description Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Rope Access Technician is responsible for performing exterior building maintenance on high-rise buildings and other elevated structures, with a primary focus on window cleaning. This role involves accessing buildings using rope access techniques to deliver high-quality exterior glass cleaning. Because of the inherent risks associated with working at heights, technicians must have recognized training, conduct regular safety and quality inspections, and strictly adhere to all company and legislated health and safety requirements. Technicians are expected to represent Aurum professionally while working at client sites and maintain the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism. Hourly Rate: $30/hour Position Type: 3-month contract (Potential to extend) Time: 40 hours/week Location – Vancouver, BC Responsibilities : Operate at a high angle via approved safe rope access methods Conduct structural inspections Perform glazing functions, removal and/or replacement of caulking, and other work at height or high-angle tasks Conduct exterior window cleaning services Lead in the preparation of hazard assessments and job planning to eliminate or mitigate risks Manage rope access equipment on site. Report to the dispatch manager on a regular basis to receive instructions and provide updates Follow all company and legislated health and safety requirements Participate in all training as required All other duties as assigned Requirements Experience in window cleaning and/or window caulking on high-rise commercial or residential buildings. IRATA OE SPRAT Level 1, 2, or 3 certification is required Working at heights certification is an asset Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated Comfortable working at heights Work Conditions: Working over 30 feet on a regular basis Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Aurum welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
