Restaurant Manager – Front of House (FOH) Hyman’s Seafood is a family-owned Charleston landmark serving classic Lowcountry seafood with genuine Southern hospitality. We are a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant serving thousands of guests each week, and we’re looking for an experienced Front of House Restaurant Manager who leads with a great attitude, thrives under pressure, and knows how to run a busy floor with confidence and consistency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on their feet, moving quickly, leading from the floor, and setting the tone for service every shift. Position Overview The Front of House Restaurant Manager oversees daily FOH operations, leads service staff, and ensures an exceptional guest experience in a demanding, high-energy environment. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day FOH operations in a high-volume, multi-level restaurant Manage and support FOH staff including servers, hosts, runners, and bussers Maintain service standards during busy, fast-paced shifts Engage with guests, handle service recovery, and lead table touches Assign floor sections, manage flow, and make real-time service decisions Partner closely with BOH and leadership to ensure smooth service execution Coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable to performance standards Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout FOH areas Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and a consistently positive attitude Required Qualifications Prior restaurant management experience in a high-volume setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams under pressure Excellent communication and guest-service skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions quickly Physically able to stand and walk for long periods and move up and down stairs throughout the shift Comfortable working in a loud, busy, fast-moving environment Schedule & Work Environment Rotating 4 days on / 2 days off schedule Approximately 45–50 hours per week Hands-on, on-the-floor leadership role Compensation & Benefits Paid time off Employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Employee discounts on food and merchandise Supportive, family-oriented leadership team This is an opportunity to lead a strong team, develop your management career, and be part of a well-established Charleston institution known for hospitality, consistency, and teamwork.
