Short Description
The Digital Strategy and products department is looking for an experienced Release Manager to lead release planning, scheduling, and execution of software deployments for app and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and communicate with product teams, product owners, and Agile team leads to ensure clarity of release content and schedule.
Lead the release process, managing the release lifecycle across multiple platforms (web and mobile apps) and mission teams/value streams.
Design and implement post‑release monitoring processes, manage risks, and resolve issues.
Continuously improve the release practice by identifying automation gaps, conducting release readiness reviews, and measuring release success.
Collaborate with technical leaders, quality engineers, DevOps, and infrastructure architects to integrate products into release management.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in release management.
Background in software development.
Hands‑on experience and management experience designing and implementing release management processes.
Experience with complex application releases, automation, scripting, and orchestration of integrated deployments.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of infrastructure, development, and deployment platforms such as OpenShift/EKS and Bamboo/GitHub.
Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Additional Assets
Experience with Agile and DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in the media industry.
